We'd rather have an honest ten-minute consult than send you home with a result we knew you wouldn't love by the third wash.

Alchemy was opened with a simple idea: a full-service beauty salon in the middle of East Sacramento and Midtown that treats the integrity of your hair, skin, and lashes as the whole point — not as something to power through on the way to a finished look.
The community we've curated over the past decade has always encompassed bringing in incredibly passionate individuals — stylists who not only love their craft, but love creating genuine relationships with every interaction. We're on J Street — squarely between East Sacramento and Midtown — in a room that's quiet enough to actually talk to your stylist and warm enough to want to stay a minute after your service is done. There's a glass of wine if you'd like one, snacks if you've come straight from work, and parking either at a meter out front or for free in the Safeway lot up the block.
